Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Video to Frames website and its browser-based frame extraction tools ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.

To use the Service you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age, or 16 if you are in the EU
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Video to Frames provides browser-based tools and informational content for extracting still images from video files. The tool supports first-frame, fixed-count, and FPS sampling modes and can export frames as JPG or PNG, individually or as a ZIP.

Processing happens locally in your browser. Your video files are not uploaded to an application server for extraction. Processing speed, memory use, and codec support depend on your device and browser.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also impose usage limits, such as the current cap of 150 frames per extraction run and a 1 GB file size limit.

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process content you do not have the right to use
• Infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or damage the site
• Attempt to bypass security features or usage limits
• Use automated systems to access the site excessively
• Misrepresent the source or ownership of extracted content
• Use the Service for any unlawful or abusive activity

You retain all rights to the videos you process and the frames you download. We do not claim ownership of your files, and we do not store them.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to process the source material and to use any extracted frames. You are responsible for how you use downloaded images, including compliance with copyright and other laws.

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, branding, and code, is owned by the operator of Video to Frames and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reuse any part of the site without written permission.

The Service uses open-source libraries, including MP4Box, WebCodecs tooling, React, and others. These technologies remain subject to their respective licenses and terms.

We respect intellectual property rights. Because all processing happens locally in your browser, we do not host or index user videos. If you believe content on this site itself infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] including a description of the work, the location of the allegedly infringing content, and your contact information.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, codec, or video file. Extraction results depend on browser capabilities and the source file.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VIDEO TO FRAMES AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

The Service is provided free of charge. Where applicable law does not allow certain limitations, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Keep an original copy of important source files. The tool should not be treated as a storage location for any video or image.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Video to Frames and its operator from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

The site may link to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Access them at your own discretion.

The Service does not require an account. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict access to the Service where use violates these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Video to Frames is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing any formal dispute, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the matter informally.

• Entire agreement: these Terms together with the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
• No waiver: failure to enforce any provision does not waive it.
• Force majeure: we are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

These Terms may be revised when the Service changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
